Kauft am 7.Dez.1831(nach dem Kataster schon
1827) zusammen mit seinem Bruder Moritz Henrich Strothotte (Bäcker und Brauer)
für 620 Thaler den Diekewerts-Hof in Blankenhagen Nr.52,
den Ewerd Henrich Strothotte (1732-1793) neu gebaut
und unter dem Namen Rosenbaum gen. Diekewert geführt hatte. Erbe wurde Peter
Friedrich Strothotte (1770-1843). Der Hof ging aus
bisher
nicht geklärten Gründen 1825 in das Eigentum des Heinrich Ludwig Tegeler,
Kaufmann in Lippstadt, über. Der den Hof zwischenzeitlich für 18 Thaler
jährliche Pacht an Johann Henrich Strothotte,
Vater
der beiden Käufer und bisher Heuerling auf dem Hofe, überlassen hatte.
Am 2.Februar 1839 wird die Stätte aus dem
Obereigentum des Fürsten in Rheda entlassen, als Entschädigung wird am
19.September 1844 eine jährliche Rente
von 6 Thaler, 6 Silbergroschen und 2 Pfennige
festgesetzt, zu zahlen an das Fürstlich Bentheim-Tecklenburgische Gut in
Rheda(Hypotheken-Schein Nr.17).
In einem Auseinandersetzungsvertrag vom
06.03.1863 geht der Hof ganz in das Eigentum von Cord Henrich Strothotte über,
wobei dem kinderlosen Ehepaar Moritz Henrich Strothotte
und
seiner Frau Margarethe Catharine Bombeck
ein lebenslängliches Nutzungsrecht an dem Teil des Hofes eingeräumt
wird, den sie bisher bewohnt haben.

Fertigstellung erfolgte ein Jahr
später. Er übte hier das Wagner-Handwerk aus
und bediente zugleich die
dort errichtete städtische Heuwaage. Im Jahre
1848 verkaufte er das
Haus an Johann Heinrich Angenete, der dort
eine Gaststätte einrichtete,
die "Alte Heuwaage".
Er wollte nach Amerika auswandern, kehrte aber
in Hamburg um, da er
dort einen Herzanfall erlitt.
